Udhampur, Sept 19: While performing patrolling and Naka duty at Jakhani, Police party of PS Udhampur intercepted one truck bearing registration No. JK13C-6805
During checking, 3.92 gms of heroin like substance was recovered from the driver namely Maqbool Ahangar S/o Ali Mohd. Ahangar R/o Khonmoh, Tehsil Pantha Chowk, District Srinagar and 2.82 gms of heroin like substance was recovered from co-driver Hanan Mushtaq S/o Mushtaq Ahmed Ahangar R/o Khonmoh, Tehsil Pantha Chowk, District Srinagar.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 337/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and both accused have been arrested.
Police Station Chenani
Police party of PS Chenani during patrolling near Domail Chowk apprehended one person who disclosed his identity as Mohd Sharif S/o Jamal Din R/o Incha, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur.
On his personal search, 3.39 gms of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, Case FIR No. 89/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Chenani and the accused has been arrested on the spot.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
