Udhampur, Sept 19: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College Majalta, in collaboration with the Health Department, organised a Health Camp in the college premises. Dr. Shalini Sharma, Principal of the college, inaugurated the event and warmly welcomed the initiative of the Health Department, appreciating their efforts in creating awareness about health and wellness among the youth. The main resource persons of the programme were Dr. Neha Sharma (Medical Officer) and Dr. Pardeep Kesar (Medical Officer). They delivered informative lectures on various health-related issues and conducted medical check-ups of the students and staff. The camp specifically focused on screening for Anemia, Tuberculosis, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Adolescent Health, and generation of ABHA IDs. The session was highly interactive. Queries of the stakeholders were answered satisfactorily by the medical officers. Both students and staff members attended the camp with great enthusiasm and benefited from the awareness drive. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Chander Mohan, Convenor, IQAC GDC Majalta. He expressed gratitude to the Health Department team for their valuable services and guidance. Overall, the Health Camp proved to be a successful and meaningful initiative, contributing to the physical and mental well-being of the college community.
