Desh Bhagat Hospitals join Raktdan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0 with blood donation camp

Mandi Gobindgarh, Sept 19: Desh Bhagat Hospital and Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic Hospital actively participated in the Mega Blood Donation Drive – Raktdan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0, an initiative of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Government of India, by organizing a large-scale Blood Donation Camp.
The program was conducted in association with Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Red Aid Blood Centre Khanna, under the overall social responsibility drive of Desh Bhagat University.
The camp saw active participation by university students, faculty members, staff members, and youths of surrounding villages, all uniting in the spirit of solidarity and sympathy. Red Aid Blood Centre Khanna collected a total of 51 units of blood.
Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur,Pro-Chancellor stressed the importance of such drives in instilling values of empathy and civic consciousness among the younger generation. Dr. Zora Singh said, "Our students have once again proved that they are not only good academicians but also socially responsible individuals."
The smooth running of the camp was facilitated under the proficient supervision of Dr. Kulbushan (Director, Campus, Desh Bhagat University), Dr. B.L. Bharadwaj (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Medical), Dr. Jyoti H. Dhami (Medical Superintendent, DBH), and Mr. Satyam Kumar (Senior Laboratory Technician, DBH).
