Indian Army organises Medical Camp 'Swasth Nari, Shashakt Pariwar' | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Sept 19: The Indian Army, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri and Community Health Centre (CHC) Kotranka, organised a Medical Camp under the theme "Swasth Nari, Shashakt Pariwar" at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Kotranka. An Awareness Camp on Balanced Nutrition, Anaemia Prevention and Child Growth was also conducted. The initiative aimed to provide quality healthcare and promote preventive health awareness among the Gujjar, Bakkarwal and Pahadi population of Kotranka and adjoining areas, reaffirming the Army's commitment to the welfare of people in remote regions. The camp offered specialist consultations, diagnostic screening, free medicines and routine health check-ups for men, women and children. Awareness sessions highlighted the importance of nutrition, anaemia prevention and healthy child growth practices. Dedicated specialist counters ensured timely and efficient care. A total of 735 locals including 221 men, 441 women and 73 children from Kotranka, Kandi, Budhal and Khawas benefited from the initiative. The community expressed deep gratitude to the Indian Army, GMC Rajouri and CHC Kotranka for their efforts. The camp not only provided immediate medical relief but also raised long-term awareness on health and nutrition. Locals appreciated the initiative and requested that similar camps be organised in the future. |
