Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 19: MIER College of Education conducted a comprehensive Environmental Audit on September 16, 2025. The audit was undertaken by the Nature Science Foundation (NSF), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, an ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Accredited Type 'A' Inspection Body accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), Quality Council of India (QCI), Government of India. The audit team was led by Dr. D. Vinoth Kumar, Director (NSF) and Audit Team Leader, and Dr. R. Balu, Lead Auditor, NSF. The opening meeting was chaired by Prof. Adit Gupta, Principal, who extended a warm welcome to the audit team. Ms. Jasleen Mohial, Coordinator IQAC, presented an overview of the institution and highlighted the college's green initiatives and sustainability practices. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nishta Rana, Head, School of Education (SoE), Dr. Monika Bajaj, Head , School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSSH), and Ms. Ruchi Sharma, Quality Assurance Officer (QAO). The scope of the audit covered: Green Audit, Waste Management Audit, Energy Audit Hygiene Audit, Soil and Water Audit. The NSF team commended the college's efforts to promote environmental sustainability and eco-friendly practices and provided suggestions for strengthening initiatives in line with national benchmarks. The management of MIER College of Education expressed gratitude to the audit team and acknowledged the cooperation of all faculty, staff, and students in ensuring the smooth conduct of the audit.
