DARHAL, Sept 20: The NSS and NCC units of Government Degree College Darhal today organized a Plantation Drive as part of the Sewa Parv Programme within the college campus. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and contribute towards a greener and healthier future. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof. Zameer Ahmed Mirza, who lauded the efforts of the organizing units and emphasized the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change and maintaining ecological balance. On the occasion, Dr. Ghulam Abbas and Dr. Mohd Akhlaq addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in fostering equality, inclusivity, and collective responsibility. Students actively participated in the drive and expressed gratitude to the college administration and faculty for their constant encouragement and support. The programme underscored the college's commitment to nurturing social responsibility, inclusivity, and environmental consciousness among students.
