POONCH, Sept 20: District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the developmental schemes under Tribal Sub Plan, Cluster Model Villages (CTMVs), Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAAGY), UT Sector, NABARD, JMM and others.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of scheme-wise works and their status as the officers presented updates on ongoing projects, achievements and the challenges being faced in the execution.
Block Development Officers (BDOs), who joined the meeting through virtual mode, briefed about the progress of works in their respective jurisdictions.
The District Development Commissioner directed all BDOs to expedite the pace of works under the Tribal Sub Plan and allied schemes so that tangible benefits reach the people at the grassroots level and funds do not lapse. He emphasized coordinated efforts and close monitoring for effective implementation. The Executive Engineers were asked to conduct daily monitoring of the tendering process and estimation of works and submit regular progress reports to the DC office.
