JAMMU, Sept 20: Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar; State TB Officer Dr. Jyoti Jolly and her team have welcomed the Rotary Club Jammu City for their commendable initiative to support TB patients. As part of its contribution to the “Jan Jan Ka Rakhe Dhyaan, TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,” and “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” the Rotary Club Jammu City donated 100 food baskets to persons affected by tuberculosis by becoming Ni-kshay Mitras. The event was graced by President Rotary Club Jammu City Rajesh Sharma, Executive Secretary Sanjeev Vaid, CA Amit Gupta and K. K. Sharma, who extended their wholehearted commitment to the cause. Dr. Jyoti Jolly appreciated the Rotary Club’s generous support, emphasizing that initiatives like these play a vital role in ensuring better nutrition for TB patients, which significantly aids their recovery, saves lives, and helps prevent drug resistance. The Ni-kshay Mitra initiative provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations, and institutions to adopt TB patients and contribute by providing nutritional food kits and other essential support, thereby accelerating India’s vision of a TB-Mukt Bharat. |
