Early Times Report DODA, Sept 24: As part of the ongoing Seva Parv 2025, the Municipal Council (MC) Doda under the leadership of Executive Officer Yasir Hussain Wani, organized a Plog Run from Town Hall to Bharat Road. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, sanitation workers and local shopkeepers, who joined hands to spread the message of cleanliness and community responsibility. A Blood Donation Camp was organized under the banner of District Red Cross Society Doda as part of the ongoing "Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar" campaign at Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah under Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Campaign. The camp was inaugurated by local Member Legislative Assembly Daleep Singh Parihar, in the presence of DDC Yudhvir Singh; Commanding Officer 33 Bn CRPF; BMO Dr. Versha Sharma; Tehsildar and other officers and officials of the Hospital. Around 21 pints of blood was donated by enthusiastic donors, reflecting the spirit of service and compassion. Alongside, an NCD (Non-Communicable Diseases) Screening Camp was also held, benefitting the local community with early detection and awareness. Meanwhile, the Municipal Council Doda organized a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) awareness and verification camp at Town Hall. The camp was attended by Tehsildar, Executive Officer MC Doda, Agriculture Extension Officer, officials of the Municipal Council and a large number of PMAY beneficiaries. The committee members conducted the verification of cases and sensitized the beneficiaries about the benefits and guidelines of PMAY, along with other welfare schemes. The initiative aimed to promote transparency, strengthen beneficiary outreach, and ensure that eligible households are able to avail benefits under the housing scheme in a timely and hassle-free manner. |
