KATHUA, Sept 24: Continuing its crackdown against drug peddlers, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS has arrested one person and recovered 5.03 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession at Dhar Road Dharamkot, PS Billawar.
A Police team of P/S Billawar led by SHO Billawar Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SP Upper Kathua Sh Aamir Iqbal and SDPO Billawar Sh Neeraj Padyar established a special naka at Dhar Road Near Dharamkot . One unknown person was roaming in suspicious circumstances, on seeing police party the unknown person tried to fled away from the spot. but Police party did hectic efforts and apprehened him, While questioning he disclosed his name as (1) Makhan Din S/O Abi R/O Bobay Tehsil Majalta Distt.Udhampur .
During his personal search 05.03 grams of Heroine(chitta) like substance and one mobile phone has been recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 143/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Billawar . further investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages involved in the supply chain of drugs in the area. |
