Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Sept 26: In the spirit of patriotic fervor and community service, NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur in collaboration with Eco-Club of the college organized a Cleanliness Drive today as a part of the ongoing 'Sewa Parv'. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students, who came together to clean the college campus and its surroundings, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The program began with a brief address by Principal of the college, Dr Ashu Vashisht, who highlighted the importance of cleanliness as not just a physical act, but a civic responsibility. He also emphasized the relevance of such initiatives in inspiring youth to take active roles in nation-building and community development. NSS volunteers and students raised slogans promoting cleanliness and patriotism. They cleaned classrooms, corridors, gardens, and nearby areas. The event aimed to instill a sense of discipline, responsibility, and unity among participants, in line with the values promoted during the Gandhi Jyanti Celebrations. This initiative was undertaken under the banner of Sewa Parv which is a national initiative to celebrate the spirit of Sewa (service) as the truest form of patriotism, contributing to the end goal of Viksit Bharat. The Parv serves as a platform where service to the nation finds expression through culture, art, heritage, knowledge sharing, and inclusive community engagement.
