Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 26: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv, the NCC Unit of GGM Science College, Jammu, organized a special lecture on the theme 'Clean and Green Awareness' to sensitize young cadets about their role in protecting the environment. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta), Principal of the College, who has been a strong advocate of environmental conservation and community service. Addressing the cadets, ANO (Lt.) Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma highlighted the urgent need to maintain cleanliness in one's surroundings and adopt sustainable practices to safeguard nature. He emphasized that the youth, especially NCC cadets, hold a pivotal role in shaping a better tomorrow by spreading awareness about eco-friendly habits, proper waste management, and participating in plantation drives. In his address, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta appreciated the initiative taken by the NCC Unit and encouraged cadets to imbibe the spirit of discipline, responsibility, and service to the nation. He stressed that cleanliness and environmental protection are not just duties but lifelong values that should be integrated into everyday living. The lecture concluded with an interactive session where cadets shared their ideas and pledged to actively contribute towards the mission of 'Clean and Green India'.
