jammu, Sept 29: The Viksit Bharat Yuva Seva Pakhwada – Connect Edition was celebrated with great zeal at Govt. MAM College, Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), highlighting youth engagement, social responsibility, and the spirit of nation-building. The programme brought together students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers in a vibrant display of teamwork and community service. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome. The occasion was graced by Ms. Ankur Mahajan, Registrar CLUJ as the Chief Guest, Prof. D. S. Manhas, Dean Student Welfare as Guest of Honour, and Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal, Govt. MAM College Jammu. The session featured Mr. Sehaj Sabharwal as the resource person, who inspired students by emphasizing that ordinary individuals can achieve extraordinary results through dedication and perseverance. His interactive session with NSS volunteers left a lasting impression on the youth. Prof. Amitpal Kour, NSS Coordinator, CLUJ, delivered the welcome address, encouraging participants to take up social initiatives and contribute meaningfully to society. The event also witnessed active participation from NSS Programme Officers of constituent colleges, including Dr. Deepshikha Sharma, Dr. Deepak Pathania (Govt. SPMR College of Commerce), Dr. Neha Sharma (GGM Science College), Prof. Neeraj Kumar and Dr. Kailash Sharma (MAM College), Dr. Shubhra Jamwal (GCoE Jammu), Dr. Monika Hans, and Prof. Sugandha Mahajan (PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar). Their presence, along with enthusiastic NSS volunteers, reinforced the values of teamwork, service, and responsible citizenship. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Deepshikha Sharma, NSS PO, SPMR College of Commerce, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, NSS PO, GCoE Jammu. Faculty members including Prof. Ruth Karim and Prof. Bharti Slathia were also present on the occasion.
