Ramban, Sept 29: As part of ongoing SEWA Parv and Gandhi Jayanti – 2025 celebrations, GDC Ramban organized an awareness workshop on Cyber Hygiene under the patronage of Prof. Satish Kumar, Principal GDC Ramban.
The theme of the programme was “Internet Safe Practices”. In his inaugural address, Prof. Satish Kumar highlighted the importance of adopting Cyber Hygiene practices in protecting us from various Cyber crimes and frauds.
He also lauded the efforts of organizing team for conducting this workshop. Prof. Aditya Sharma, HOD Computer Applications, was the resource person for today’s awareness programme.
He discussed various online threats and human negligence errors that put us on risk of being victim of Cyber crimes.
He also elaborated on safe practices that must be followed while using internet to save ourselves from these crimes. Further the students were also sensitized on use of cyber crime reporting portal and helpline numbers.
The event was attended by large number of students. Prof. Ram Parkash presented the vote of thanks.
The other dignitaries who were present included Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, HOD Chemistry, Prof. Sanjay Kumar Katal, HOD Physics, Dr. Rabinder Kumar, HOD Hindi and Prof. Ajay Kumar, HOD EVS.
