The celebration commenced with a special morning assembly highlighting the significance of Dussehra, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and the eternal power of truth. Students presented shlokas and bhajans, invoking divine blessings and setting a spiritual tone for the day.
One of the highlights of the program was a dramatic enactment of episodes from the Ramayana, showcasing the valour of Lord Rama, the devotion of Hanuman, and the victory over Ravana.
The participants, dressed in colourful costumes, mesmerized the audience with their acting and expressions. The play not only entertained but also imparted moral lessons of righteousness, courage, and unity.
Following the cultural presentations, the effigy of Ravana was set ablaze in the school grounds, symbolizing the destruction of arrogance, ego, and evil. Students cheered in unison, reinforcing the timeless message that goodness always prevails.
The sight of flames rising into the sky inspired everyone to choose the path of virtue and truth in their personal lives.
Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in organizing such a meaningful event. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of imbibing values from our rich cultural traditions and applying them in day-to-day life. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing committee and the active participation of students. Refreshments were distributed, and the festive spirit lingered in the hearts of all present.
The Dussehra celebration at Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, proved to be a memorable occasion that not only entertained but also enlightened young minds.
It reinforced the belief that truth and goodness will always triumph, leaving behind a powerful message of moral courage and integrity.
