Calls on youth wing to showcase Omar Abdullah's achievements: Tejinder Pal Singh Aman
10/1/2025 6:12:46 PM

early times report

Jammu, Oct 1 : Tejinder Pal Singh-Aman, the Provincial President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) Youth Wing, urged party members to take proactive steps in the upcoming elections, focusing on the significant contributions of the Omar Abdullah-led government.
Speaking with passion and conviction, Aman emphasized the pivotal role the youth must play in educating the public about the positive transformations ushered in during Omar Abdullah’s tenure.
Addressing a key meeting with YNC functionaries from both Jammu Rural and Urban areas at sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu, Aman said, “The youth must be at the forefront of this campaign. It is our duty to ensure that the people understand the true extent of the progress made under the leadership of Omar Abdullah. From social welfare initiatives to infrastructural development, we must highlight these accomplishments at every opportunity.” The meeting was attended by the Sahil Kerni YNC District President Jammu, Rakesh Kumar (Phalwan) District President Jammu Rural A, District Secretary, and other office bearers.
Referring to the upcoming elections, Aman stressed the need for the YNC cadre to adhere to the party leadership's directives. “The time has come for us to tell the truth. We must showcase how the Omar Abdullah-led government reached out to the public during some of the most difficult times in recent memory—particularly in the wake of heavy floods and landslides. The people of Jammu and Kashmir know who stood with them during these crises, and we must remind them of that,” he stated.
Aman also pointed out the failure of BJP legislators and leaders to support Jammu during these challenging periods, urging the YNC members to effectively highlight the shortcomings of the current government. “While our government was always there for the people in times of need, the BJP leaders have consistently failed to live up to their promises. Their lack of action in crucial moments speaks volumes about their priorities. The people of Jammu deserve better,” he remarked.
Nitish Gowsami Provincial Secretary Jammu YNC urged the YNC party cadre to gear up and reach out proactively to the people at the grassroots level, listen to their grievances, understand their issues firsthand, and work collectively to address the problems being faced by the general public.
He emphasized that the party workers must strengthen their connect with the masses and ensure that the message and policies of the National Conference reach every household, especially in neglected and remote areas.
In his closing remarks, Aman called upon the YNC District Presidents of both rural and urban areas to form dedicated outreach district bodies to better engage with the public, particularly the youth. “The youth are the future, and it’s essential we tap into their energy and enthusiasm to spread the word about the pro-youth initiatives implemented by Omar Abdullah’s government. We must ensure that every young person understands the role they can play in shaping a better future for Jammu and Kashmir,” he concluded.
Among those who were present included: Majid Iqbal Naik, Mudit Seth, Gorav Bhagat, Attal Singh, Naresh Kumar, Sheikh Fayaz and others.
