Early Times Report NAGROTA, Oct 1: The Group Commander visited the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) being conducted by 1 J&K Battalion NCC, Srinagar, at the NCC Training Academy, Nagrota. The 10-day camp, held from 21st to 30th September, comprised around 400 cadets drawn from the districts of Baramulla, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, and Srinagar of the Kashmir region. On arrival, the Group Commander was presented with a Guard of Honour by the cadets. During his visit, he witnessed various training activities including firing practice, drill, and physical training, and interacted with the young cadets undergoing training. In his address, the Group Commander commended the cadets for their enthusiasm and active participation in the camp. He urged them to imbibe the core values of the NCC - Unity and Discipline - in their daily lives, and to continually strive towards self-improvement and excellence. He also motivated the cadets to prepare diligently for the forthcoming Republic Day Camp (RDC) at New Delhi, which offers them a unique opportunity to represent the rich cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir and to interact with fellow cadets from across the country, fostering national integration and unity. The 10-day camp provided a platform for cadets to enhance their leadership qualities, teamwork, and sense of national pride through a series of training, cultural, and personality development activities. |
