Udhampur, Oct 7: Police party of Police Station Udhampur while conducting routine checking at Naka Point Jakheni stopped one Alto car bearing registration number JK09C-8702. Two persons were found travelling in the said vehicle.
The driver identified himself as Parvez Ahmed Khan S/o Nazir Ahmad Khan R/o Cheeri Koot, Kupwara, while the co-passenger disclosed his name as Zubair Ahmed Mir S/o Ghulam Rasool Mir R/o Sogam, Kupwara.
During their personal search, 2.78 grams and 3.70 grams of heroin were recovered from their possession respectively.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 356/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation into the case is underway.
