Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 7: The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Jammu, Sh. Sumeet Singh convened a meeting with leading employers of the Jammu Division to deliberate on the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) and Re-engineered Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) - CITES The meeting focused on improving employer compliance, enhancing coverage, and strengthening the visibility of establishment information as mandated under the EPF Scheme. During the session, the RPFC-I Sh, Sumeet Singh highlighted the objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, which seeks to encourage formal employment generation and extend the benefits of provident fund, pension, and insurance coverage to more workers in the organized sector. Employers were urged to actively register eligible new employees and take advantage of the incentives available under the scheme. Leading Employers- Sh. Adarsh Tickoo, M/s Sudama Business Solutions, Sh. Sohan Lal Sharma, M/s Gurjeet Labour Contractor, Sh. Gyaneshwar, M/s Sai Santosh Labour Contractor among others participated in the meeting. It was also emphasized that EPFO Jammu is conducting regular interactive sessions with employers and employees' associations in connection with the Re-engineered Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) - CITES initiative. The benefits of revamped ECR filing were highlighted. These sessions are aimed at improving awareness, resolving operational issues, and ensuring smooth transition to the re-engineered systems. The meeting concluded with a strong message for all establishments to maintain strict compliance with EPFO directions and contribute towards building a transparent, digitally enabled, employee-friendly social security system in the Jammu region. |
