WAKNAGHAT, Oct 11: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) successfully concluded Mental Health Awareness Training Program for the teaching and non-teaching staff today. This was organized as a direct measure to ensure full adherence to the guidelines issued by the Honorable Supreme Court of India on July 25, 2025 (Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No. 6378/2024). The guidelines mandates that all educational institutions must provide mandatory, regular training to staff on recognizing and responding to student psychological distress. Miss Shraddha Puri, Clinical Psychologist, from MMU, Kumarhatti, Solan, was the resource person. The university's commitment was demonstrated by the presence of the highest administrative officials, highlighting the university-wide prioritization of this critical issue. The program was attended by the Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Gupta, Dean (Academic), Brigadier RK Sharma, SM (Retd.) Registrar and Dean (Students), Prof. Shruti Jain Associate Dean (Innovation), all department heads, faculty and staff.
