During the camp, around 100 participants, including students and staff, underwent comprehensive health check-ups and TB screening. Out of these, around 50 samples for TB testing were collected by the medical team for further examination.
The dedicated medical team from Medical Block Ghat included Dr. Touseef Aslam Wani, Mr. Mashhood Latif (BM&EO, NHM Ghat), Mr. Ashok Shan, Ms. Anjali Devi (MLHP), and Mr. Ghulam Mustafa (RBSK, Phst), who actively conducted the screening and sensitization activities.
In addition to the health screening, an interactive awareness session was also held under the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0, during which the participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. Awareness regarding TB prevention and early diagnosis was also imparted by the health staff, and a pledge for a Tobacco-Free Environment was taken by all present.
The Director of Haji Public School, Ms. Saba Haji, delivered an informative address and expressed her gratitude to the Health Department, including the CMO Doda and BMO Ghat, for organizing the programme and reaching out to the students of this remote area.
