Jammu, Oct 15: In a continued effort to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among youth, the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan Committee in collaboration with NSS of Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur successfully organised Inter-college Tug of War Competition for students of B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc. Semesters I, III, and V. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines, reflecting high energy, team spirit, and a shared commitment to the message of the campaign. The friendly competition served not only as a platform for physical engagement but also as a reminder of the importance of staying away from substance abuse and leading a disciplined life. Dr Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan exhorted that this event aims to foster teamwork, physical fitness, and a spirit of healthy competition among students, while also promoting awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Through such engaging activities, the Committee seeks to instill positive values and encourage students to adopt a drug-free lifestyle. Students of Semester III B.A./B.Com/ B.Sc were the winners of the event. The college continues to organise awareness activities under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan, aiming to create a drug-free academic environment and empower students to make informed life choices.
