Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 15: Dr. Karan Gupta, a renowned social activist and retired Medical Officer from Jammu, described Guru Ravidass ji as a powerful voice for social equality, stating that his life and teachings are still completely relevant in today's era. He said that Guru Ravidass's message is a source of inspiration for every section and every generation of society, especially for those communities that had been marginalized for centuries. Dr. Karan Gupta expressed these views after receiving a set of poems based on Guru Ravidass, written by Balbir Ram Rattan, a follower of Guru Ravidass and a writer. Appreciating Balbir Ram Rattan's creative initiative, Dr. Karan Gupta further said that such literary efforts will help spread Guru Ravidass ji's teachings to the masses. -After retiring from medical service as a Medical Officer, Dr. Karan Gupta has dedicated himself to social service and is actively working on issues such as cleanliness drives, drug-free youth campaigns, and patriotism. Dr. Gupta stated that we need not only a physically healthy society but also a mentally and morally aware one - and in this direction, the teachings of Guru Ravidass serve as a guiding light.
