JAMMU, Oct 16: Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu felicitated Col. Amrit Nigam and his team, 87 Armoured Regiment, 26 Infantry Division, Bhour Camp, Chatha, Jammu for their timely and courageous assistance during the flash flood that struck the University campus on August 26, 2025. Recognizing their swift action and dedicated efforts in ensuring the safe rescue of students and staff members trapped due to sudden flash flood, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor presented an Appreciation Letter to Col. Nigam and his team as a token of gratitude from the University fraternity. As a mark of mutual respect and goodwill, Col. Amrit Nigam also presented a souvenir medal to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor. Prof. Tripathi commended the team's exemplary sense of duty, coordination, and humanitarian spirit.
