Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 16: MLA Bishnah, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, today launched a significant series of development projects valued at a total of Rs. 92.79 Lakh, aimed at boosting infrastructure and connectivity across key areas of the constituency. The commencement of these works underscores the MLA's commitment to sustainable grassroots development and addressing long-pending public demands. The major projects inaugurated include two vital macadamization works to improve road connectivity. The Link Road to Shamshan Ghat at Chak Gorian Trewa will be macadamized at a cost of Rs. 28.96 Lakh over a length of 650 meters. This critical project will provide better access to the cremation ground, fulfilling a long-felt need of the local populace. Additionally, the macadamization of the road from Arnia Chungi Bye Pass to Arnia Shibu Chak Main Road was initiated. This 1.6 km stretch, costing Rs. 29.96 Lakh, is expected to significantly ease traffic flow and enhance travel comfort for commuters in the Arnia region. Further extending the development push into rural pockets, Dr. Bhagat also kicked off multiple smaller-scale works in two key Panchayats. A total of 08 works were launched in Panchayat Kiryal Brahmna with an allocation of Rs. 16.51 Lakh, and 06 works were started in Panchayat Kheri-A, valued at Rs. 17.36 Lakh. These local projects are typically focused on essential infrastructure like lanes, drains, and local community facilities, directly benefiting villagers. During the launch, the MLA stressed the importance of quality and timely execution of all works. He was accompanied by Shri Rafiq Choudhary, AEE PWD Sub Division Bishnah, along with his engineering team and officials from the Block Development Office, Bishnah, who will oversee the projects. The event witnessed a strong show of support from prominent political figures and local leaders, including Sunil Shastri, Seh Parbhari North Jammu; Girdhar Gopal, Mandal Pardhan Arnia; Supinder Sharma and Parveen Kumar, General Secretaries; Kuldeep Raj, former Sarpanch; and Surinder Singh Bubby, former Councillor.
