10/17/2025 9:40:45 PM
AMRITSAR, Oct 17: DAV College, Amritsar, successfully organized a dazzling Diwali exhibition, "Colours and Lights," at Aarsh Auditorium. The event transformed the venue into a vibrant hub of creativity and festivity, showcasing the immense artistic talent of its BDM students. The exhibition was inaugurated by Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta and Kapil Kumar Gandhi, AGM, Circle Head, Punjab National Bank, who commended the students and faculty for their efforts in promoting eco-friendly celebrations through art and innovation.
Principal Dr Gupta informed that the students created intricate and colorful Rangolis centered on themes like "Green Diwali," "Cultural Heritage," blending traditional art with contemporary messages. A stunning display of eco-friendly and artistically designed diyas (lamps) and candles, made from recycled and natural materials, emphasized sustainable celebration. Elaborate lanterns, torans (door hangings), and other decorative items crafted from paper demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity.
Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Kumar Gandhi said, "This 'Rang and Roshni' exhibition is a testament to the innovative spirit of college students. It is heartening to see them celebrate our rich traditions while championing the cause of an environmentally responsible Diwali. The Aarsh Auditorium provided the perfect stage for this brilliant display of talent."
The event was coordinated by Prof Vikram Sharma who stated, "The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm from students across all departments made this event a grand success. It was not just an exhibition but a collaborative learning experience that fostered teamwork and artistic expression."
The "Colours and Lights" exhibition successfully captured the essence of Diwali, merging the joy of the festival with educational values and artistic excellence, leaving the college community and visitors enthralled.
