Jammu, Oct 19: Ekam Bajwa, a student of Class IV-F at Delhi Public School Jammu, has brought laurels to the school by securing 5th place in the 15th J&K UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition 2025. The event was held on 28th September 2025 at GDCT, Jammu, with the results declared on 5th October 2025. Ekam achieved this remarkable feat in the Undergoing Basic Level, Category-Z, and was awarded a trophy in recognition of her outstanding performance. UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System) is a globally recognized child development program that uses the abacus as a tool to enhance mental arithmetic and cognitive skills. Designed for children aged 4 to 13, the program not only improves calculation speed but also strengthens essential abilities such as memory, concentration, and problem-solving. The school management, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, along with Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra and staff congratulated Ekam and her parents on this achievement. They also extended their best wishes for her continued success in all future endeavours. |
