2 major drug networks busted in Bahu Fort, R S Pura

Jammu, Oct 19: Jammu Police on Sunday said that it busted two major drug networks in Rajeev Nagar Bahufort and R S Pura areas and arrested eight peddlers, including four women.
A police official told Early Times that more than 500 gms of heroin (Chita) worth crores recovered was recovered from the possession of the arrested drug peddlers.
BAHU FORT POLICE ARREST 2 WITH 330 GMS OF HEROIN
An official said that Police Station Bahu Fort achieved a major success by busting a heroin supply chain and arresting two persons with 330 grams of heroin (chitta) and cash proceeds of crime.
He said that during investigation of FIR No. 295/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act, Incharge Police Post Narwal arrested Vishal Kumar S/o Ram Singh R/o Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Boot Polish Mohalla, Jammu from near Wave Mall. Upon search, 275 grams of heroin and an electronic weighing machine were recovered from his possession. “During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he procured the contraband from Reena W/o Late Bobby R/o Rajiv Nagar,Narwal Boot Polish Mohalla, Jammu. Acting promptly, a police team led by IC PP Narwal, accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Bahu Fort, conducted a search at her residence and recovered 55 grams of heroin, another weighing machine, and Rs 33,490 cash & accordingly Reena was arrested with recovery of 55 grams heroin, one weighing machine and cash of Rs 33490,” the official added.
He said that three more lady drug peddlers Sheetal, Payal and Kajal, all residents of Rajiv Nagar Jammu were arrested in Forward linkage with recovery of 13 grams of heroin ,02 weighing machine and Cash Rs 3050.
“All the fives accused including four lady peddlers were arrested, and all recoveries were made after completing legal formalities. Further investigation to trace the larger supply chain is in progress,” the official said.
3 DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED IN RS PURA
Meanwhile, personnel from RS Pura Police Station, according to officials, achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending three drug peddlers and recovering 186 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from their possession in Chak Talab area.
“A special police team from Police Station RS Pura, led by PSI Aihtsham ul Haq and assisted by other officials, carried out the operation under the close supervision of SHO Police Station R.S Pura, Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and overall supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu and SDPO R.S Pura. The operation was conducted while the police team was on routine patrolling duty in the area,” said an official, adding, “During the course of patrolling, the team rounded up three suspects identified as Inderjeet S/o Balwant Ram R/o Gandhi Camp Tehsil Batala, District Gurdaspur, Punjab A/P Chak Talab Tehsil R.S Pura, Vishal Kumar S/o Charan Dass R/o Sagarpur Tehsil Batala, District Gurdaspur, Punjab A/P Chak Talab Tehsil R.S Pura; and 3)Jagdish Raj S/o Mulkh Raj R/o Chak Talab Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu. Upon thorough search, the police recovered approximately 186 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from their possession.”
He said that in this regard, a case FIR No. 203/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station R.S Pura. “All three accused have been arrested, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of procurement and their possible links in the drug trade network,” the official added.
