Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 19: Aiming to promote sports in rural areas, the two-day sports competition organized by Multiple Action Research Group, Salehar( MARG) RS Pura, on behalf of the "My India, My Youth India, Jammu" (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India) concluded with the finals on Sunday. On the final day of the competition, volleyball, badminton, tug-of-war, shot put, and running competitions were held, where athletes showcased their strength. The semi-finals of the volleyball competition were played first, followed by the final match between Allah Volleyball Club and Pindi Volleyball Club, where the Ala Volleyball Club won the volleyball competition. National Convenor of Seema Jan kalyan Sangathan, Neem Singh, was the chief guest. Social activist Sunil Dutt Shastri, President of MARG Chander Bhushan, President of Jammu and Kashmir Dehati Sewa Sanstha Gara Ram Motan, and members of various social organizations were also present. On this occasion, the chief guest honored the winners and runners-up with trophies, medals, and certificates. He praised Mera Yuva Bharat and Marg for organizing such sports competitions in rural areas. Present as the chief guest, National Convenor of the National Border Welfare Organization, Neem Singh, stated that the young generation needs to embrace sports, and that sports are the only medium through which they can be kept away from drug addiction and other bad habits.
