Amritsar, Oct 31: The Post Graduate Departments of Computer Science and Commerce and Institutions innovation council of DAV College Amritsar successfully organized ‘TechCom,’ a dynamic inter-school techno-commerce event, designed to provide a competitive platform for school students to showcase their talent, innovation, and understanding of the converging worlds of technology and business. This program was inaugurated by College Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta and Deputy General Manager, Circle Head of Punjab National Bank Krishna Kumar. In his inaugural address, Dr Gupta emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “In today’s digital economy, the synergy between technology and commerce is paramount. ‘TechCom’ is a pioneering effort by our departments to sow the seeds of this interdisciplinary thinking in young, school-level minds, preparing them for the challenges of the future.” In his inaugural address, Krishna Kumar delved into the operational framework of UPI, its security protocols, and its transformative role in creating a less-cash economy.He also highlighted the vast career and entrepreneurial opportunities emerging in the fintech ecosystem fueled by UPI. |
