Jammu, Nov 2: Today, the Deaf Cricket Team of Jammu & Kashmir met Provincial President YNC Jammu, Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh, at Sher-E-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu, before their departure for the IDCA 9th T-20 National Cricket Championship for the Deaf, scheduled to be held from 3rd to 9th November 2025 in New Delhi. On the occasion, Provincial President Tejinder Pal Singh extended his best wishes to the team for a successful tournament. He lauded their spirit, determination, and commitment towards bringing laurels to Jammu & Kashmir through sports. Provincial Secretary JKNC Sheikh Bashir also conveyed his best wishes to the Deaf Cricket Team for their upcoming matches in Delhi and commended their dedication. The delegation was led by Umar Ashraf Beigh, President of the Deaf Cricket Association and an International Deaf Cricket Player. The event, organised by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) and supported by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), aims to provide a national platform for differently-abled cricketers to showcase their talent and passion for the game. Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh appreciated the efforts of the Deaf Cricket Association in promoting inclusivity and sportsmanship among specially-abled youth. He assured the team of his full support and encouragement in their pursuit to make Jammu & Kashmir proud at the national level. Also present on the occasion were Provincial Secretary JKNC Pardeep Balli, District President JKNC Jammu Urban Chander Mohan Sharma, District President JKNC Jammu Urban Raghubir Singh, Additional Spokesperson Jammu Yashuvardan Singh, Adv.
