| Army Public School conducts faculty development programme | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Nov 1: A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was conducted on 01 Nov 2025 at Army Public School Samba, aimed at enhancing teachers’ understanding of effective classroom management and child psychology. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. PoonamTarpial, an accomplished academician, trainer, and industry expert, who served as the Resource Person for the day.
In the first session, titled “Rewards and Recognition – Alternatives to Classroom Punishment,” Dr. Tarpial emphasized the importance of positive reinforcement and constructive feedback as effective strategies to foster student motivation and discipline.
The second session on “Understanding Child Psychology” focused on developing teachers’ awareness of students’ emotional and cognitive needs, promoting empathy and better teacher-student relationships.
The interactive workshop provided valuable insights into creating a positive classroom environment and strengthening the teacher’s role as a mentor and guide. Teachers actively participated in discussions and activities that connected theory with real-world classroom practices.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to Dr. Tarpial for her inspiring and impactful session. Mr Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal APS Samba, felicitated the resource person with a token of appreciation.
