Jammu, Nov 4: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the banner of its Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Skill Development (FEISD), organized an Innovation Bootcamp at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu . The objective of the bootcamp was to nurture creativity, promote design thinking, and foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world innovation by encouraging students to think beyond conventional boundaries. The program began with an Inaugural Ceremony, where Er. Rajnish Magotra, Head, Civil Engineering Department, YCET, delivered the Welcome Address, highlighting the importance of innovation and industry-academia collaboration. As part of the ceremony, Er.Dinesh Gupta,Dean (Acadmics) of YCET presented saplings and momentos to the guest team from IIM Jammu, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and a long-term relationship between the two institutions. Following the inauguration, the IIM Jammu Team, comprising Dr. Vivek Sharma (CIO, IIM Jammu), Mr. Kannav Padha (Manager – DST iTBI, IIM Jammu), and Ms. Druvi Sharma (Dy. Manager – DST iTBI, IIM Jammu), conducted a series of interactive and insightful sessions. The sessions starts Introduction to Innovative Thinking An engaging talk on the principles of creativity, ideation, and design thinking by Kannav Padha. In his inspiring talk, Mr. Padha highlighted the vital role of youth in driving India’s vision for 2047 — a vision centered on innovation, sustainability, and self-reliance. He encouraged students to embrace entrepreneurship and technological advancement as key enablers of the nation’s growth. The initiative VisitKt Bharat @2047 aims to promote creative thinking, digital empowerment, and collaboration among young innovators After a knowledgeable session next session is An “Interaction with Incubatees” Ms. Kusam co-founder of blessing Pads.The session was organized to provide students with real-world insights into the startup ecosystem. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and entrepreneurial practice by allowing students to engage directly with startup founders and innovators associated with the incubation center. During the interaction, incubatees shared their journey, challenges, and success stories, highlighting key aspects such as idea validation, funding opportunities, business model development, and market strategies. The session encouraged students to think creatively, develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, and explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
