Vijaypur, Nov 4: The Government Degree College Vijaypur organized Storytelling and Poster Making Competitions on the theme “Tribal Life” under the banner of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The events were jointly organised by the Departments of Dogri and English to commemorate the contribution and rich cultural heritage of India’s tribal communities. The competitions aimed to highlight the essence of tribal traditions, art, folklore, and lifestyles while promoting creativity and cultural sensitivity among students. Participants expressed their ideas through compelling stories and visually appealing posters depicting the vibrant and diverse life of tribal people. The Principal of GDC Vijaypur, Dr Ashu Vashisht, appreciated the efforts of the organizing departments for conducting such meaningful events that encourage students to connect with the roots of India’s indigenous heritage. The event was coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Dogri) and Dr. Naseem Choudhary (Assistant Professor, Dept. of English) from the Departments of Dogri and English. Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically, making the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas both educational and inspiring.
