Chandigar, Nov 8: NHPC Limited, a Navratna Company of the Government of India, was established on November 7, 1975, with the objective of developing hydropower in the country. In line with this, NHPC Regional Office Chandigarh celebrated its 51st Foundation Day on November 7, 2025, at the Residential Complex, Sector 42 A, with great fervor.
On this occasion, Executive Director Aditya Gautam graced the event as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The employees and their family members presented a vibrant cultural program, followed by various games and competitions, which were participated in with great enthusiasm.
In his address, the Executive Director highlighted the numerous achievements of NHPC, stating that the company has not only excelled in implementing hydropower projects from concept to commissioning but has also adopted the principles of sustainable development. NHPC has a long history of implementing hydropower projects while prioritizing environmental protection and social responsibility, generating employment and development opportunities for local communities.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of various games and competitions, and the dignitaries were honored by the Executive Director.
