Anantnag, Nov 10: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals without valid permission, Anantnag Police seized multiple vehicles involved in such unlawful activities across the district.
Acting on specific information, police teams from Larnoo area intercepted and seized two tractors found transporting mining material without requisite royalty or valid documents. In another action, a JCB machine and a tractor engaged in illegal extraction of minerals at Bringi Nala, Gadvail, were also seized on the spot.
Strict action has been initiated against the violators, and relevant sections of law have been invoked. The drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals will continue in the district to ensure protection of natural resources and compliance with government regulations.
Anantnag Police appeals to the general public to refrain from engaging in illegal mining or transportation of minerals and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in curbing this menace. |
