Jammu, Nov 17: he Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir-UT successfully conducted an intensive three-day First Aid Training Programme for the employees of Biostadt India Ltd, Bari Brahmana, HPCL, Airforce Station, Jammu and Pidilite Industries Ltd, Kathua aimed at strengthening workplace safety preparedness and equipping participants with essential life-saving skills. The training covered a comprehensive range of First Aid procedures including CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), management of bleeding, fractures, burns, choking, shock, and various medical emergencies. The sessions were designed with a strong focus on practical demonstrations and hands-on learning to ensure participants could confidently respond during real-life situations. The training was imparted by Dr. Rita Kumariand Dr. Manpreet Kour, Medical Officers, IRCS J&K, who delivered detailed demonstrations and interactive learning sessions. They were assisted by Sh. Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist, Smt. Mohna Devi, FMPHW and Sh. Manjeet Singh supported by Ms. Veronica Marwah, Field Officer, who coordinated, assisted, and facilitated the overall training programme. On the concluding day, Sh. Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS J&K, personally interacted with all participants in a one-on-one conversation, reviewed their feedback, and appreciated their enthusiastic involvement throughout the three days. He also distributed provisional certificates to the trainees as a recognition of their successful completion of the course. In his message, he highlighted the importance of First Aid training in every sector and stated, “Being prepared to respond in an emergency is not just a skill, but a responsibility. I congratulate all participants for taking this initiative and encourage them to continue spreading awareness and extending help whenever needed. IRCS J&K remains committed to building a trained and responsible community.” Participants from all three organizations expressed their gratitude to the Indian Red Cross Society for providing such valuable training and shared that the skills learned would prove crucial in enhancing safety measures within their workplace. |
