Jammu, Nov 17: The Department of Commerce, Government College for Women Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, organised an enriching Career Counselling Session for B.Com students on MBA Opportunities after graduation. The programme was organised under the patronage of Dr. Naveen Anand, Principal of the College. The session was conducted by Mr. Arun Verma, State Head, ICFAI Business School (IBS), a reputed institution with over 30 years of excellence in business education. During his presentation, Mr. Arun Verma provided valuable insights into the relevance and growing demand for management education in today’s competitive world. He also highlighted about the Scholarships worth ₹10 crores available through IBSAT 2025,100% case-based learning methodology at IBS,Highest CTC of ₹41 LPA offered to students and Special scholarships for IBS alumni, physically challenged candidates and wards of defence personnel. Students were also informed about the MBA 2026–28 program, its admission process, and future career prospects. QR codes for the IBS mobile app (Android/iOS) were shared for easy access to course details and IBSAT registration. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Com students, who engaged in interactive discussions on career planning, industry expectations, and skill development. Principal Dr. Naveen Anand appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to explore professional programmes like MBA to enhance their employability. Dr. Preeti Salathia thanked the resource person for sharing valuable guidance and motivating the students with a formal vote of thanks.
