JAMMU, Nov 17: A Darbar was held today at Police Station Bahu Fort by SP South, during which various matters related to discipline, welfare, professional conduct, and Law and Order preparedness of the personnel were discussed. SDPO East, all SHOs and ICPPs of Sub Division East were also present.
At the outset, the SP briefed the staff regarding the significance of holding Darbars and highlighted that such interactions serve as an important platform for strengthening communication, addressing concerns, and motivating officials to perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.
The Darbar served as a platform for the staff to raise their concerns, which were noted for appropriate action through proper channel.
During the session, emphasis was laid on maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ensuring polite conduct with the public, and upholding the image of the department at all times. The SP sensitised the officials about accountability, ethical policing, and the need to remain vigilant against any form of misconduct or unprofessional behaviour.
The staff was also encouraged to adopt new technologies being introduced in day-to-day policing. Stress management and mental well-being were discussed as essential components of efficient performance, with the SP advising officials to maintain physical fitness, healthy routines, and teamwork.
A special focus was placed on intensifying efforts against drug-related crimes. All personnel were directed to strengthen field intelligence, act promptly on actionable information, and contribute proactively at their respective levels in combating the menace.
Before concluding, the SP issued several instructions aimed at improving the functioning of the police station, including regular training of personnel, maintenance of cleanliness of premises and weapons, timely updating of official records, and strict adherence and respect to the chain of command.
The Darbar motivated the force to uphold professionalism, discipline, and public service, and to continue working with integrity and dedication for the safety and security of the citizens. |
