Jammu, Nov 21: To aware the masses “Say No To Drugs”, & to promote the traditional culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in close coordination with Ministry of culture, Govt of India under Guru-Shishya Parampara presented 3 days special awareness campaign through Nukkad Natak on “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” at Durga Bhawan Theatre , Janipur Jammu .
The Program was inaugurated by as Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , Government of India and Former Chief Medical Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Government , Udhampur Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Mukesh Singh, Renowned Media Person J&K presided over the function.
The day as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian nation in general . Awareness items Specially prepared on the Themes, like “Chara Da Bukhar”, “Roko Roko Nashe Gi Roko”, “Bacho Bacho Nashe Kola Bacho”, Skits , Folk Songs were presented to aware the masses.
The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programs colorful, effective & result oriented theme wise contents to promote love & peace as advocated by the stalwarts of theatre National Unity & Communal Harmony, Indian Democracy Health etc and also said, highlighting the Drug trafficking is major concern because of its socio-economic and political implications. Illicit drug money, once it enters an economy, it affects the political systems, the civil society, and the productivity of a country contributing to social disintegration and collapse of democratic governance. In addition, drug abuse affects the health and the productivity of human resource of a country, which in turn affects its economic growth and development.
The artists of BLSKS will presents 2 other programs which was presents in the far flung arears of Jammu District in Phallian Mandal, Raipur Satwari .
The songs on the said theme were written by Dr.M.L.Dogra & the music was assisted by Sh.M.C.Kotwal , Music Director BLSKS .
