JAMMU, Nov 20: The young fencing sensation from Ramban, Sufyan Waheed Sohil, has brought laurels to the Union Territory of J&K by winning the Bronze Medal (Individual) and Silver Medal (Team) in the 36th Senior National Fencing Championship held at New Delhi, India. This remarkable achievement marks his fifth medal this year, a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication. Notably, Sufyan defeated top-ranked senior athletes of India to secure these prestigious medals. In the Team Event, Sufyan played exceptionally well, showcasing his talent and experience, enabling the team comprising Ajay Kumar, Shivansh Kapoor, and Saaid Ur Rehman to win the Silver Medal for UT of J&K today, 19th November. Sufyan Waheed Sohil, son of Police Constable Waheed Sohil, has previously won: - Bronze Medal for India in 2024 at New Zealand. |
