| J&K police seized 7 vehicles for illegal mining at Ghati & Billawar area | | |

KATHUA, Nov 21: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS has seized a total of 07 vehicles i.e (02 Dumpers alongwith 05 Tractor Trolleys ) in the jurisdictional area of Out Post Ghatti, P/S Kathua & PS Billawar area which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material (Without A Form).
In the first instance, on 19/11/2025 police team led by IC Out Post Ghatti PSI Rajat Kotwal under the guidance of Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, has seized 04 vehicles ( 02 Tractor Trolleys bearing Unknown Reg. No. & 02 Dumpers bearing Reg. No.s JK08H-7824 & HR38AF-0054) indulged in illegal mining / transportation of construction material without any legal permission.
While in the second instance the police team led by SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar JKPS during patrolling duty seized three tractor alongwith trolleys (without any Reg. No.) loaded with sand without any valid permission.
The above mentioned 07 vehicles( 05 Tractor Trolleys & 02 Dumpers) have been seized by @Kathua Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
