JAMMU, Nov 21: Today on 21.11.2025, Sameer Sharma-IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Armed Range, Jammu visited the 1st Women Bn Temporarily Headquartered at APC, Channi Himmat. The DIG Armed was warmly welcomed by Commandant Shri R.C. Kotwal-JKPS, SSP, Sh.Vishal Manhas-SP (DyCO) alongwith other officers including Sh. Subash Chander (DySP), Ms. Anita Katel (DySP), Insp. Javed Akhter, Insp. Atul Rakhwal, besides all ranks of the Battalion.
During the visit, the DIG conducted a detailed review of the functioning of the Battalion. The DIG Armed also interacted with the women constables, appreciated their professionalism, and discussed several important points concerning their duties. The interaction focused on enhancing efficiency, addressing field challenges, and further strengthening coordination within the unit. The DIG emphasized maintaining high standards of discipline, commitment, and readiness in all assignments. The visit concluded with suitable directions for improving administrative and operational effectiveness of the battalion. |
