Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Udhampur Police has attached movable property worth Rs 12 lakhs belonging to a habitual bovine smuggler. A Tata Yodha vehicle bearing registration number JK14J-3924 owned by Gulam Qadar S/o Mazam Din R/o Jig Bupp, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, has been attached under Section 107(5) BNSS by the order of the Hon'ble Court of JMIC Ramnagar, Udhampur. The said vehicle was found involved in Case FIR No. 165/2025 U/S 223(a) BNS & 11 PCA Act of Police Station Ramnagar. During investigation the IO conducted a detailed inquiry covering multiple aspects. Based on the criminal record and financial investigation of the accused, it was revealed that the offending vehicle had been procured through illegally acquired proceeds of crime generated from bovine smuggling. Accordingly, Udhampur Police attached the said vehicle under Section 107(5) BNSS. Cumulatively, this is the 11th vehicle attached by Udhampur Police in such cases, with the total worth reaching Rs 1.43 Cr. |
