MANDI GOBINDGARH, Nov 21: A two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) successfully concluded at Desh Bhagat University (DBU) with a formal Closing Ceremony that highlighted the programme's impact, coupled with reflections, feedback, and key takeaways from participants. The event was graced by Garima Rohela, Director Finance, AICTE, New Delhi, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring address, Rohela lauded Desh Bhagat University for successfully hosting the workshop and emphasized the pivotal role educators play in fostering India's innovation ecosystem. She noted that strengthening design thinking and innovation capacity at the school level is a strategic investment in shaping a resilient and globally competitive future for the nation. The programme, jointly organized by the Department of School Education & Literacy, AICTE, and the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) with support from the Wadhwani Foundation, aims to empower District Education Officers and DIET members with skills in innovation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship in line with NEP 2020. During the ceremony, Ms. Rohela, along with Sh. Rajeev Kumar, Assistant Director, AQT SCERT Punjab, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Pro Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), and Prof. Amarjit Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics) DBU, presented Certificates of Participation to all attendees. |
