JAMMU, Nov 25: In a major success, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading the law for the past 15 years. Acting on specific and reliable information, a police team of Police Post Gajansoo apprehended the accused Zahoor Ahmed, S/O Mohd. Akbar Bhat, R/O Utter Pora, Tehsil Beerwah, District Budgam. He was wanted in FIR No. 06/2010 registered under Sections 457/380 RPC at Police Station Kanachak. The accused had been on the run for over a decade. Acting promptly on the generated input, the police team successfully traced his location and arrested him from the Gajansoo area. The accused was produced before the Hon'ble Court, where he was subsequently granted bail. |
