Chenani, 27 Nov 27: In a significant step towards strengthening rural infrastructure, the MLA of Chenani–Ghoordi constituency, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, inaugurated the construction of the Gujed–Chirdi road connecting Lower Mada to Upper Mada (Warmanwal). The road is being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). This new road will stretch across 4.5 kilometers with an estimated cost of over ₹6.25 crore. The project holds immense importance for the residents of both panchayats, who have long awaited improved road connectivity. Once completed, the road will significantly enhance transportation, access to education, healthcare services, and boost the movement of agricultural produce. It is expected to directly benefit thousands of people living in the region. MLA Mankotia stated that accelerating development and building strong road networks in rural belts remain his top priorities. He added that this road project is not just construction—it represents the fulfillment of a long-pending demand of the people and will open new avenues of progress. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of SDM Chenani, Xen PMGSY, AEE PMGSY, former PRI members, and large numbers of residents from both panchayats. The MLA instructed the concerned departments to ensure high-quality construction, adherence to timelines, and long-term durability of the road. |
