Jammu, Nov 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old teenager in connection with suspected terror activities and are examining the digital devices seized from his possession, officials said.
A police spokesperson said, “The accused, originally from Reasi district and currently residing in the Bathindi area, is emerging as a key suspect in terror-related activities. An FIR No. 331/2025 under Section 113(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.”
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was being radicalised online and was allegedly planning to carry out a terror act,” the police said.
Authorities also revealed that the suspect had been in contact via mobile phone with “certain numbers based in Pakistan and other foreign countries.”
The digital devices seized from the teenager are being thoroughly examined and analyzed as part of the investigation. Police confirmed that detailed questioning and a comprehensive investigation are ongoing. |
