| FATEHGARH, Nov 27: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday launched another revolutionary initiative in form of "Easy Registry" to facilitate the people across the state. The Chief Minister welcomed all the people who witnessed the beginning of this historic transformation aimed at completely eradicating corruption and ensuring transparent governance. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that people had to visit the Sub-Registrar office corresponding to the location of their property, which added extra burden and inconvenience. However, the Chief Minister said that now, with the "Easy Registry" system, property registration in Punjab has entered a new era of simplicity, speed, and transparency. He said that the "Easy Registry" system will eliminate unnecessary delays and hardships for citizens adding that this is the first time in India that any state has taken such a step toward simplifying property registration. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that under this initiative, any Sub-Registrar office within a district will be able to register properties located anywhere in that particular district. |
