Early Times Report RAMBAN, Nov 27: The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, chaired a detailed security review meeting at the District Police Office Ramban, where the overall security scenario of the district and preparedness for the coming months were thoroughly assessed. Inputs shared by various intelligence agencies throughout the year were examined in depth, and the action taken on each of these inputs was discussed threadbare. A major focus of the meeting was the winter strategy, with the DIG stressing the checking of dhoks and ensuring domination of higher reaches before and after snowfall to prevent any hostile movement. The security audit of all critical infrastructure, vital installations in the district and ongoing mock drills practices were also reviewed to strengthen inter-agency coordination and response capabilities. The officers also deliberated on the ongoing action against anti-national elements, their sympathisers, and associates, emphasising firm and coordinated efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by SSP Ramban, CO IR-16, CO 23RR, 2IC 84 CRPF, CO 116 CRPF, AddlSP Ramban, DySP Headquarters Ramban, SDPO Banihal, SDPO Gool, DySP DAR, DySP OPS Ramban, DySP CID SB Ramban, DySP CID CI Ramban, and representatives from 12 RR and intelligence agencies.The DIG appreciated the synergy among all security and intelligence agencies and called for heightened vigilance as winter approaches. |
